This collection contains an assortment of administrative papers

during the escalation of campus unrest, throughout the events of May 4th, and
after the shootings. Included in these papers is an ample amount of correspondence
and statements from the President's Office, particularly correspondence from parents
of students, faculty, community members, and others conveying their concerns.
Materials are added to this collection on a continual basis.
Related Materials
Researchers are urged to consult the papers of Kent State University presidents serving since 1970, in order to locate additional materials relevant to the Kent State shootings and their aftermath. The list of University Archives collections provides links to the finding aids for the papers of KSU presidents.
