Prepared by Kyler Andrew Culver, September 24, 2003. Updated July 2012.
1 document case, and 1 oversize folder, .5 cubic feet, 12th floor
Historical Note
In 1974, a donation from Victor E. Buehrle made it possible to provide an inspirational setting and research center in the
form of a room in the main library that would be open to the public, dedicated
to the memory of those slain and wounded on May 4, 1970, and devoted to quiet
reflection and study of the past, present and future. Subsequent actions on the
part of concerned faculty and students brought together a number of memorials,
resources and on-campus sites to make the room a center of the physical memory
of May 4, 1970.
