Scope and Content

This collection was accessioned on February 21, 1974 (see correspondence between Hyman W. Kritzer and Todd Furniss). The materials were gathered by the Special Committee on Campus Tensions (largely in 1969), and some were used as a basis for two publications of the American Council on Education, Perspectives on Campus Tension, and Campus Tensions: Analysis and Recommendations. Also included are the files of Todd Furniss relating to Black Studies in the United States (largely 1969). There are no restrictions on the use of the materials imposed by the Council, and literary rights to unpublished items have been dedicated to the public.
