Historical Note

Toucan was a privately published endeavor of former Kent State University curator of Special Collections Alex Gildzen, who collaborated variously with R. L. Carothers and with J. Charles Walker as editor of the review. Toucan featured poetry, fiction, reviews, news, essays, artwork and interviews.

Scope and Content

This collection contains manuscripts, proofs, correspondence, bills and other materials related to the publication of Toucan. Files are arranged alphabetically by author/correspondent name.
