The Center for NATO Studies was established in 1979 at Kent State University. The Center was created to provide an institutional setting for hte scholarly examination of the historical, political, economic, cultural, and military experience of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Renamed in 1982, the Lyman L. Lemnitzer (General Lemnitzer was Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, 1963-1969) Center for NATO and European Community Studies continues to study European affairs in 2006.
Materials in this collection include pamphlets, brochures, lecture series flyers, and published occasional papers (incomplete holdings).
