Scope and Content
The yearbook for Kent Normal High School began in 1918 as Hilife and was published by the Senior Class until 1924 when the Normal School name changed to Kent State High School. In 1936 the title of the yearbook became The Statesman and was published by the Journalism Class. By 1948 the title had changed to Devil's Diary and was published by the Senior Class until 1956 when the title returned to The Statesman and continued with this title until 1972 when Kent State High School was closed.
